Proverbs 3:5-6...Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not
on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him
and He will make your paths straight.
Corbin's
Story ...

Corbin Deon Burnett was born August 22, 1991.  It was one of
the happiest days of our lives.  We were parents for the first
time, and felt blessed that God had given him to us.  He came
out smiling and was a very happy little boy.  As he grew, he had
many passions in life.  He loved to hunt with his daddy, killing
his first deer when he was 7 years old.  Dad was so proud of him.

Baseball was another love of his life.  He played with his whole heart, hating when he got out and waiting for the
next opportunity to steal another base.  He was quick, and he knew it, pushing the limits every chance he got.
He also loved to ride his dirt bike, never afraid of anything.  I think he only knew one speed, fast.  He would be
one of the first ones to shimmy up the tree at Cow Creek and jump in, not fearing what was below.

In September of 2001, unfortunately and tragically, our baby was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor in his
brain stem (diffuse pontine glioma).  There was no cure, and we had little options.  Over the next ten and a half
months, we watched our smart, athletic, all-American boy succumb to an unbeatable disease  that we had no
control over.  Corbin faced his illness and death with such dignity and grace.  He is truly  the bravest person I
know or will ever know.  We are so proud to be his parents.  We will mourn our loss forever...until we meet
again in Heaven.  We can't wait for that day.

On a side note, we do not want to make Corbin out to be a saint.  He was a perfectionist and definitely  high
maintenance.  He never lost that, and it made him who he was.  I wouldn't have had him any other way, even
though he wore me out at times.

Corbin took the hand of Jesus and went to Heaven on August 13, 2002, much sooner than any of us were
prepared for and what would have been his first day of junior high.  We were blessed by bringing him into this
world, and God blessed us by allowing us to be with him as he took his journey to Heaven.  He left behind his
devoted dad, Deon; his younger brother, Colby; his younger sister, Bailee; his brokenhearted mom, Cristy (me);
and a host of family and friends that loved him dearly.

Thanks for visiting Corbin's website.  I did this for me and for you.  Corbin touched so many people during his
short life.  We can only hope and pray that his life will change yours in a positive way.  We will learn and grow
and never be the same...because of him.  We are glad you came.

Take care and God bless.  Cristy - proud mom to the bravest little boy I know...and to two special ones that give
me the strength to get up every day.

"Corbin, my life has been forever
changed because of you; and I
want to be a better mom, wife,
friend, Christian and person all
because your life was so worth it to
me.  I love you more today than the
day you left me.  I dream of the day
that I can have you back in my
arms.  I am so very thankful God
has you safe in our Heavenly home
and has prepared a place for those
who choose to follow Him.

See you in Heaven, Angel..."
